What’s this? Another iPhone OS update?
Sure is. Apple has already seeded the beta 1 release of the iPhone 2.2 OS to iPhone developers. Following on the iPhone 2.1 OS‘s improvements to stability and overall system performance, there’s some speculation that Apple could be preparing to launch their Background Network Notification service with this latest iPhone OS revision. Apple hasn’t stated what improvements or new features are offered in the iPhone 2.2 OS, but we should have more details soon.
