What do you know – Packard Bell is also in the tablet market. The company, which BTW is a subsidiary of Acer since 2008, is selling the Libertytab, the product that as far as we can tell is a rebranded version of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 with subtle design changes (it looks better than Acer’s tablet). In that sense we’re talking about an NVidia Tegra 2-powered device with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 pixels screen, Wi-Fi connectivity support, 16GB of built-in storage, GPS, Bluetooth, HDMI out, memory card slot, while Android 3.0 Honeycomb is running the show.
As for the price, British retailer Comet is selling the Libertytab for 349.99 GBP (about $571). Not a bad deal for an unlocked device that requires no contract signing at all.
