Comcast offers free Motorola Xoom to select new customers

Comcast is quietly running a neat promotion, offering the free Motorola Xoom to select new customers. Alternatively, there’s an option to get the Honeycomb tablet for $99, which is still an awesome deal.

The problem, however, is that the promotion isn’t advertised anywhere and only customers who actually ask for the Xoom may get one.

Here are three options that can get you the Motorola Xoom with your new Comcast account (from their internal memo):

  • Option 1: $99 x 12 Triple Play or step up to an HD Triple Play and get up to a $200 Visa prepaid card.
  • Option 2: $99 x 12 TP or step up to HD Preferred Plus XF Triple Play and receive a Motorola XOOM (no price for the HD Preferred Plus XF TP will be mentioned on the piece but the qualifying price point is EDP – $174.99 or HD Premier XF TP at $199.99)
  • Option 3: Free Motorola XOOM with the HD Preferred Plus XF TP at $174.99 EDP (CAEs can also sell the customer into the HD Premier XF TP at $199.99 for the XOOM as well.)

In other words, if you’ve already planned to sign-up for Comcast, make sure to mention them you want a free (or $99) tablet as part of the deal. If you don’t like Comcast, well, keep waiting for something that better fits your needs. 😉
