Mobile messaging solutions provider Synchronica launched a Synchronica Mobile Gateway IM client app for Android, enabling operator-branded IM services on Android smartphones. And they already have the first client – América Móvil, which will launch the new app called Claro Messenger through its subsidiaries across Latin America.
Synchronica’s application can sing along popular IM services such as Facebook, Windows Live, Yahoo, Google Talk, AOL, ICQ, Jabber XMPP, as well as and the Synchronica Messenger IM service. Users are able to start multiple IM chats (one to one or group) simultaneously, receive push notifications of new messages, switch between multiple IM chats, and search for new contacts by their mobile number or IM username.
Operators on their end can use the solution to provide their own-branded IM communities to “improve customer loyalty and reduce churn.”
Commenting on the news, Synchronica’s CEO Carsten Brinkschulte said: Service providers like América Móvil see the value in deploying consumer IM solutions alongside operator-owned IM communities as a highly effective means to increase customer stickiness and reduce churn. Now, with the new Synchronica IM client app for Android, operators will be able to offer branded IM services on the fastest-growing smartphone platform.”
