During the next couple of weeks, Vodafone UK will start selling the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. While we don’t have the exact date, we do see that the smartphone got its page on the carrier’s “Coming Soon” pages where those interested can leave their email and be instantly notified when the Big Red is ready to take their money.
Pricing was not unveiled, but it’s safe to bet the Xperia Ray will be offered free of charge with a number of contracts starting at about 30 GBP per month. If you recall, that money will get you the Android 2.3 Gingerbread-running device which specs include a smallish 3.3-inch 854×480 touchscreen, solid camera, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and so on. In a nutshell, it’s a smartphone that sits somewhere between the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Xperia Neo.
