Sprint and HTC issued a small firmware update for the HTC Evo 4G to fix a number of bugs and make the phone run as smoothly as possible. Here are the bugs and improvements the new firmware (version 4.53.651.1) brings:
- Integrated voice recognition accuracy with voice search and voice-to-text
- Image size issue with contact transfer over Bluetooth
- Images cut off in Picasa
- Group contacts not in alphabetical order
- Out of memory, Unable to send SMS
Sprint said the update will be released in stages over the next 1-2 weeks. So when you manually try to initiate the update, you may receive a message that no update is available. The carrier asks you to be patient and check back later, or act when the update is automatically sent to your device.
Of course we advise you to backup all of the data prior to proceeding and make sure your battery is fully charged to handle the task. Good luck! 😉
