New Droid Bionic ad shows how the phone came to be – Robot organ harvesting

Now that we know the official pricing for the Motorola Droid Bionic, what else could you want? Well, some soon to be owners likely won’t mind a new ad for the device, which is a continuation, or extended version of the previous TV spot we saw not long ago.

So, Resident Evil Alice/Lara Croft/Ninja chick is on a mission, and that’s to kick some robot ass. After the robot beat-down, she proceeds to harvest ‘organs’ (or components) from the machines to make the ultimate companion device, the Droid Bionic. Overall, the ad is well executed and those who are looking to buy the Bionic tomorrow should be eating this shit up.

While we’ve already said the Bionic basically looks like a thicker Droid X2 with a LTE radio, you wouldn’t even notice in the ad, as you don’t get much of a look at the handset. Either way, it doesn’t escape the basic Motorola Droid phone design aesthetic, and while it’s definitely not saying much, the Bionic is Verizon’s thinnest LTE phone available today. The Bionic does have a lot going for it, but it’s unfortunate that Verizon’s new flagship phone is running Motoblur.

The Bionic’s dual-core/LTE combo won’t be as novel when phones like the Droid Prime are released, along with the rumored Revolution 2 and Thunderbolt 2. For now, the Bionic is the go-to phone for Verizon and even at $300 it’ll probably sell decently enough. Oh, and don’t expect to see ads like the one below to slow down anytime soon, either.

Overall, the Droid Bionic will soon be upon us, and we’ll soon see if all this hype was worth it. Me? Well, you know where I stand, with the Bionic and Motorola phones in general, but it’s hard to deny that this handset didn’t have a tiny bit of allure… nine months ago. Luckily, you’ll be able to walk into a Verizon store tomorrow, pick up the Bionic and see if it’s worth it to you.

That chick seems pretty powerful but I’d like her to take on these droids here.
