Evernote app lands on BlackBerry PlayBook

Evernote, the popular cloud storage app for a variety of mobile platforms, has just graced RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook. The app lets you access, edit, and create image, audio, and text notes that are all synced up to the cloud, so you can access them just about anywhere.

Hopefully RIM will open up Bridge to third parties soon, so apps like Evernote can sync up content between tablet and smartphone devices over Bluetooth instead of having to shunt everything to the cloud. The PlayBook’s operating system is still in its infancy, so we won’t be seeing any handy stuff like “send page to Evernote” from the native browser menu, like you might see on RIM’s smartphones, or some of the more advanced stuff we’re seeing on the Android version, but this is a solid start.

Though I’ve never really needed anything like this, Dusan is a huge fan of Evernote, and if you find yourself needing a way to easily access content across a variety of screens, you probably will too. Evernote for the BlackBerry PlayBook can be found in App World over here, and there’s a BlackBerry smartphone app available here.
