Well, it turns out that the LG Optimus is receiving LTE specifications. This new and improved LTE version will be an upgrade with enhanced specs to boot, which is similar to what we have here in the states with the LG Revolution.
The Optimus LTE will sport the first 4.5 inch IPS HD LCD ( 1280×720) display. Also, the phone is set to have a 1.5GHz dual- core processor, Android OS 2.3 (gingerbread), an 8-megapixel auto-focus lens and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The LTE is said to provide remarkable performance. Consumers will notice the quality of the HD display, courtesy of the IPS feature, which enhances the phone adding excellent viewing angles. IPS panels are improving, as HD (800×480) displays almost two-fold compared to how they were before.
All in all, people overseas should expect to get a souped up LG Optimus with similar featurres carried on the U.S. version. It’s a great phone if you like excellent color reproduction quality, high-resolution photos and video recording capable of catching the picture perfect shots and blazing speeds of 1.5Ghz dual-core LTE isn’t too bad either. This shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise, especially since Verizon’s leaked road map shows more LTE devices on the way.
