Vodafone UK has started taking orders for the super-thin Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. The Big Red carrier is offering the device free of charge to anyone willing to commit on a two-year 31 GBP/month plan, which includes 600 voice minutes, unlimited texts and half a gig of mobile data per month. Alternatively, there’s a 26 GBP/month option that will instantly take 99 GBP from your pocket, while also packing less of everything (100 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data). In addition, everyone who orders online also gets 2GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access.
Now what do I think of this deal? Well I must say I like the Xperia Arc S, but unfortunately for the Swedish-Japanese handset maker there’s Samsung with its Galaxy S II, which could be yours for few pounds more per month. Unlike the Xperia Arc S, Sammy’s baby comes with a dual-core processor that makes for a smoother (faster) experience…
