Are you disappointed with the iPhone 4S?

Apple made the iPhone 4S official today and you’ll be able to pick up the next Apple smartphone Oct. 14 but for the first time in a long, long time, it appears that many are disappointed with what the company has done. Are you disappointed with the iPhone 4S or are you eager to pick one up as soon as possible?

The iPhone 4S will sport a similar body to the iPhone 4 but it will have much better hardware inside. We’re talking about a dual-core A5 processor that should provide up to 7 times the graphical prowess of the previous phone and this could lead to some excellent gaming. We also like that it will rock an 8-megapixel camera which can record 1080p HD videos and include an image stabilizer. The iPhone 4S-only voice-powered Siri also promises to deliver convenience by only using your voice.

But still ….

During the iPhone 4S live blog, there was an overwhelming sense of disappointment. Some wanted a true iPhone 5 with a larger screen, the teardrop shape and more. Others really wanted some form of 4G support and a few were even clamoring for NFC support. Maybe the competition has become so good that Apple needs to have a home run every single time and can’t even afford a nice triple.

Of course, the iPhone 4S will still sell millions on its opening weekend and probably move more than 25 million units by the end of the year, so even if people are disappointed, many will still buy it. In the mean while, let us know what you think of the latest Apple smartphone in the comments.
