EA outs Bejeweled 2, SimCity Deluxe, and The Game of Life for BlackBerry PlayBook

EA is following up on their BlackBerry PlayBook release of Dead Space over the summer with a handful of other recognizable games. Casual puzzler Bejeweled 2, urban planning strategy game SimCity Deluxe, and classic board game The Game of Life are now all available in BlackBerry App World.

EA was in a good spot to get a head start on RIM’s tablet. The PlayBook launched with their game, Need for Speed Undercover, which gave them access to the native SDK that few developers get. Now it looks like they’re comfortable and ready churn out many of their mobile properties for the PlayBook, but even outside of the tablet, EA has a pretty substantial collection of BlackBerry games.

SimCity Deluxe and The Game of Life are going for $6.99, while Bejewled 2 is $2.99. Those are all relatively high prices in the big world of apps, even for tablets, but given the lack of quality titles available for the PlayBook, I can hardly blame them.
