T-Mobile introduces new unlimited plans to Monthly4G lineup

Presumably feeling some heat as the only major U.S. carrier without the iPhone, T-Mobile is stepping up its game to lure in new customers with fresh usage plans in the Monthly4G lineup. The new $60 unlimited plan is arguably one of the best bangs for the buck available to mobile subscribers.

That plan gets you unlimited talk, text, and Web – plus, the first 2GB of data is automatically upgraded to 4G speeds. This is an extremely clever way to point out that after 2GB of usage, your data speeds are throttled. Luckily, I don’t know too many people who use more than that per month.

The second plan caters the exact opposite crowd: those of you who tend to use your phones as little as possible, or on certain days. The Pay by the Day plan charges you only on days that you use your phone and comes in three variants. For $3 per day, you’ll receive unlimited talk, text, and Web, with the first 200MB of data at 4G speeds. For $2 per day, you’ll get the same thing, except all data will be limited to 2G speeds. And finally, T-Mobile charges a dollar per day for unlimited text and ten cents per minute for talk.

Lastly, a new no-annual-contract plan is exclusive to Walmart. It serves up unlimited text and Web — with 4G for the first 5GB of data — and 100 minutes of talk for $30 per month. It’s another well-priced option for Walmart shoppers.

All three of these attractive plans are available now on T-Mobile. They make you consider ditching that iPhone 4S for a slick new Amaze 4G, eh?
