“Better” doesn’t necessarily mean innovative or mobile as we can learn from Better Business Bureau, which has finally decided to launch a mobile app for iOS-based devices. Not sure why it took them so long, but the good thing is that they’ve finally took that step. That said, we’re hoping apps for other platforms will too be released in the near future.
Using the free to download application, you get to access to the popular BBB Search and find businesses by a number of criteria such as name, phone, URL, location (city, state and ZIP code) and category. The results can be either displayed as a list or on a map.
Moreover, you can easily access previous searches through the history menu, and view the “official” BBB Business Review for every business listing, complete with BBB Rating, contact info, BBB Accreditation status, consumer complaint history, and more.
Then, once you find a business you’re interested in, you can save it to your Favorites, iOS contacts or share its review via email, Twitter and/or Facebook.
The question for every iOS user out there is – whether BBB’s app is worth an icon on one of your homescreens. What do you say?
