Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus announced for T-Mobile

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is sliding its way over to T-Mobile in time for the holidays, launching November 16. The financing pricing scheme is newish; you pay $249.99 as a down payment on the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and add another $10 to your monthly bill for 20 months. That’s on top of the usual two-year contract, but you at least get $50 off from a mail-in rebate. That’s all just a bit on the complicated side.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus kicks things up a notch from the original, boasting a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen. The most notable change one might say is the 9.96 mm thickness, which is a significant shave off the original Tab’s 12 mm. The cameras aren’t particularly impressive, clicking in at 2 megapixels and 3 megapixels, but at least the 16 GB and 32 GB storage denominations are expandable thanks to a microSD memory card slot. It’s of course running Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and support for Flash in the browser.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus joins the Tab 10.1 and the SpringBoard on T-Mobile, which should give shoppers plenty of tablet options, assuming they’re willing to pay the premium. The Tab 7.0 Plus recently went on sale at Amazon, but if you’re interested in snagging the HSPA+ version from T-Mobile, you’ll be able to find it in the online store over here.
