It wasn’t that long ago when we told you YouMail surpassed 1 billion calls answered. Now the company announced a new milestone, surpassing of 3 million organic downloads. What’s more, they can boast having had 75 million distinct callers interact with the company’s service at one point or another.

But that’s not all, YouMail also announced new investors, CrunchFund and the Tech Coast Angels ACE Fund, bringing the total investment raised since 2007 to nearly $13 million!

According to the company’s CEO Alex Quilici, the new cash will be used to roll out “several new, enhanced telecommunication services,” and to support and accelerate growth of Visual Voicemail Plus. Moreover, the funding will assist in leveraging the YouMail platform for growth of the user base.

If you haven’t used YouMail’s Visual Voicemail before, you should know it comes with several handy features including Visual Caller ID which works even when callers are not in your address book, Smart Greetings, and Simple Sharing on Facebook and Twitter.

YouMail currently works on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices, and there are also apps developed by third parties for other platforms such as Windows Phone 7, Windows Mobile 6.5 and WebOS.
