Back in August, we reported that Chicago Tribune is mobilizing its job classifieds. Now they’re doing the same for auto listings with the launch of Automart QuickFind service, allowing interested buyers to find their new vehicle from their mobile phone, wherever they happen to be.
The new Automart QuickFind service lets readers text a unique WEB ID for a vehicle listed in the Tribune’s Saturday Automart section and instantly receive on their mobile device additional information like photos, dealer contact information and driving directions.
Commenting on the announcement, Chicago Tribune Interactive’s Joe Farrell said: “This program further solidifies the complementary relationships among our print, online and mobile product offerings. Now, car seekers can easily and instantly access rich information on a vehicle listed in the paper whether they’re at work, home or on-the-go.”
