Evernote has updated its Windows Phone client making it even more useful. Version 2.1 brings several new features, including:
- Ability to pin anything to the home screen. For instance, you can pin specific notes, tags and even searches to make them accessible with a single tap. If you’re pinning more than one note, the tile will include a number showing how many notes are related to the notebook or tag.
- Template notes. Very handy for folks frequently adding similar notes, like business cards or expense reports. Tap the three dots in the menu and choose “Pin as Template” and next time you want that kind of a note, tap it on the home screen and fill-in the blanks.
- Improved text editing – now editing of plain text notes is the same as creating new notes. Just tap into the specific regions of the note that you wish to edit and start writing and/or changing the text.
- New languages – including Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch and Polish.
In addition, Evernote for Windows Phone 2.1 also brings background syncing, integration with the Windows Phone search, as well as the ability to share notes via Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live.
