London landmarks go interactive with Samsung Galaxy Tab

The EDF Energy London Eye has teamed up with Samsung to offer in-capsule experience for visitors using the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1s tablet.

Each capsule will feature six tablets dotted around the edges, allowing visitors to find details and information on London landmarks which can be seen from the Eye. Moreover, 3D models of the sights are also available.

At the moment, only three or four of the capsules have been fitted with the Galaxy Tabs, while all of them [capsules] will get their “tablet treatment” in May.

Samsung is obviously banking on the Olympics to promote its brand. Millions of tourists will visit the country during the big sport event, some of which may opt to check out the London Eye where they’ll (once again) be “exposed” to the South Korean company’s products…
