Popular fitness tracking app Endomondo is going beyond the built-in sharing capabilities to integrate with Facebook Timeline, allowing for real-time sharing of your fitness activities. Yep, you’ll be able to get additional encouragement from your e-circle or just brag about your achievements if you fancy so.
Users are able to share their progress while they exercise, showing maps of their latest workouts that they track with Endomondo’s mobile app. Of course, you get to keep the control what information you want to share with friends and who can see it.
The Endomondo app is available for all major mobile platforms, including the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. To download it, simply search for “endomondo” in the app store you’re using and take it from there.
Finally, before I let you go, here are the words of Facebook’s Justin Osofsky (Director of Platform Partnerships) – he said: “Exercising with friends is more fun and effective than exercising alone. Endomondo is a great example of how a social app can affect real world change. Through their new timeline app, people can track a range of activities including running, biking and walking and share their fitness accomplishments with friends.”
