Pantech will soon introduce a new powerful smartphone in its own backyard. The model number IM-A830S is a high-end device, rocking a 720p touchscreen, Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. It is said that this bad body is heading to Korea’s SK Telecom.
Now the question you may want to ask – will Pantech ever export the IM-A830S outside of Korean peninsula. We’ve no idea though we would definitely like to see that happening. AT&T’s is Pantech’s usual “partner in crime” for the U.S. market but the company also has a number of Korea-only models.
We’ll be watching this and (for that matter) other similarly specced (i.e. high-end) smartphones and let you know as soon we hear that some of them is going west side. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
