To celebrate launch of the new iPad and get some media love along the way, CoPilot Live is slashing the prices of two of its iOS apps:

  • CoPilot Live Premium HD for iPad and iPhone will cost £39.99 instead of £47.99
  • CoPilot Live Premium UK + Ireland for iPhone will cost £19.99 instead of £24.99

It’s a time limited promotion that has already started and is good until midnight on Monday March 19th, 2012.

In the rest of the email, CoPilot reminds us how cool their iPad app is, taking advantage of the extra screen estate to provide a split screen navigation view that combines 3D or 2D maps with non-distracting turn instructions.

We understand the idea of a big screen experience, but honestly can’t imagine ourselves (at least I can’t) using an iPad — or any other 10-inch tablet for that matter — while driving. It’s just too damn big and I do have voice-based navigation so the screen itself doesn’t have to be that big. What do you think?
