Canada: Samsung Galaxy Nexus now available for free on a three-year contract

If you’re in Canada and want to grab yourself the Galaxy Nexus, you may care to know that your smartphone of choice is now available for free on three-year contracts from select operators, including Rogers, Bell and Fido. At the same time, Virgin Mobile’s and TELUS’ units are available for $39.99 and $79.99, respectively.

Best Buy has all these offers which we would instantly suggest if there were no mandatory three-year customer agreement. Not sure why Canadian carriers keep insisting on such deals when other developed nations are not going beyond two-year contracts (which are also too long, but that’s another story).

In any case, if you like what you’ve read here, proceed to this page at Best Buy Canada’s website and take it from there. Just please bear in mind that your Galaxy Nexus may be cool by today’s standards but in just 6 months, it will look like an outdated gear with quad-core phones taking over high-end of the market. Don’t say we haven’t warned you. 😉
