Just in time for the start of the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights seasons, Verizon launched the new INDYCAR Mobile 3.0 application. Available for iOS and Android-based devices, the application brings the usual content like news, photos, videos and information about all the drivers, No. 12 car included – the one sponsored by Verizon Wireless and driven by Will Power. Moreover, users can also access in-car cameras, live driver-pit crew transmissions, and real-time leader boards. Heck, you can view up to four videos at one time, which is really neat.

To download the latest version of INDYCAR Mobile, dial “**INDY” (**4639) (without quotes) or if you own one of Verizon’s tablets, search for “Indycar” in Google Play.

As for when the action starts, the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series kicks off on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, on March 25. The Indianapolis 500 Mile Race takes place on Sunday, May 27, with Pole Day on Saturday, May 19.
