We’ve seen the original Quake game ported to Symbian S60 platform. We’ve even seen Quake 3 Arena on the iPhone and iPod Touch and now it [Quake 3 Arena] is available for select Nokia smartphones as well. By “select” I mean those devices that have 128MB of RAM and rely on Texas Instruments’ OMAP 2420 CPU like the Nokia N95 8GB, N82 and E90 Communicator. The original N95 is unfortunately not on the list due to lack of RAM.
But wait a tick. This port is super cool because it also supports other Bluetooth accessories like keyboard and mouse that will help you enjoy the game like you used to on your PC. In addition, multiplayer mode is also supported!
I can easily envision true Quake fans connecting one of the supported devices to their TV set and playing the game from the comfort of the Bluetooth keyboard. Is this future of gaming or what?
