Google Maps for Android updated with high-resolution graphics

As happy as I am with my switch to the iPhone, the thing I miss the most about Android is the amazing quality of Google Maps on it. Well, Google has just released the 6.5 version of Maps for Android and it’s packed full of features and improvements which make me jealous.

One of the most obvious features is that Google Maps is now more optimized for high-resolution screens and this should come in handy on all these devices with the 720p HD screen like the Galaxy Nexus. Check out the picture below to see if you can tell the difference.

The Navigation feature has also been cleaned up and has a nicer user interface for Android Ice Cream Sandwich phones. You can also look forward to more options for how you want to get directions to your destination.

You can download the updated Google Maps from the Play Store here.
