Good news for Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile smartphone owners. The version of Google Maps for mobile with Street View support is out! Initially, Street View feature was available on Google Maps for iPhone, Android (T-Mobile G1) and BlackBerry and now it’s available on every major smartphone platform out there. Best of all, it’s not just United States that’s covered with street photos. France, Italy, Spain and Australia are also included in the mix.

That’s the main news, but there’s even more! Google Maps for mobile also has a bunch of other new features including walking directions (in addition to driving and public transit), transit alerts from participating public transportation authorities, and the ability to access user generated content and read what other people think of a place. In addition, the entire user interface has been overhauled to “make the app more responsive and easier to use.”

Want it? Sure you do! Point your mobile browser to google.com/gmm and take it from there.

Prior to download, you may want to check out a demo of Street View which follows right after jump.
