Boost Mobile will soon add a new smartphone to its portfolio – HTC EVO Design 4G. Yeah we’re not talking about a new phone per se since Boost’s parent company (Sprint) is already offering it, but it’s new for the prepaid brand. Guess the idea was to wait for some time when the prices drop to make it more affordable to Boost’s younger customer base.
The good news (for Boost clients) is that this particular HTC smartphone will ship with Ice Cream Sandwich on board, while Sprint’s version still runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread (though it will get an Android 4.0 update, too).
Specs wise, the EVO Design 4G comes with a single-core 1.2GHz processor, 4-inch qHD touchscreen, 768MB of RAM, WiMAX and Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, and of course a microSD memory card slot.
In related news, Boost Mobile has recently launched another Android smartphone – LG Marque, which we covered in a separate article.
