Sony Canada is now pushing the Android 4.0 update to the Tablet S users. Aside from packing all of the Ice Cream Sandwich features, Sony made sure some other things also come included with this software release. For instance, you’ll also get:

  • Enhanced lock screen with direct access to Notifications and Camera
  • New panoramic camera mode
  • Enhanced Gallery media viewer with photo editing tools and the ability to access files from an SD card
  • New Home Screen actions like the ability to drag icons together to create folders and add names to folders
  • Enhanced web browser that supports switching from mobile to desktop web sites, as well as saving of pages for offline viewing
  • Access files directly from SD card
  • Native screenshot capture by pressing “Power” and “Volume”
  • Exclusive “Small Apps” for multi-tasking, including Calculator, Browser, Remote Control and Move to screen edge for reduced clutter

In other words, you’ll want to update the second your Sony Tablet S tells you there’s a new update waiting. Make sure your battery is fully charged and press the friggin’ button. Good luck. 😉
