Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced that its popular iHeartRadio digital radio platform has reached 10 million registered users in just 8 months, which is faster than all other social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, Spotify and Instagram. Moreover, registered users are only a percentage of iHeartRadio’s overall listeners, since registration is only required for the Custom Station feature.

The iHeartRadio platform brings incremental listening to Clear Channel’s 237 million monthly listeners, while the entire iHeartRadio network had more than 45 million monthly digital uniques in April.

The service/mobile app provides users with an instant access to more than 800 of the nation’s most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities, plus user-created Custom Stations…

Earlier this month, Clear Channel announced a major update to iHeartRadio for iPad app, which we covered in a separate article.
