The Dark Knight Rises app is now available for those of you owning a Nokia-branded Windows Phone device. Available as a free download, it also comes pre-loaded with the new Nokia Lumia 900 Batman-themed phone, offering cool content for the fans of the Caped Crusader.
Aside from the movie’s official trailer, wallpapers and some other media files, there’s the Foursquare-based Gotham City game, in which you can check into locations in your surrounding area to defend them against the enemy. You can play either as Batman or Bane, with each check-in getting you points to defend that location. A leaderboard is there as well so you can see how your check-in activity stacks up against players all around the world.
And that’s not all – you can search for theaters in your area featuring the film, and “enjoy” a countdown timer, reminding you that the wait is far from over.
Lastly, the Fan Buzz section features live tweets about the movie based on hashtags and concentrated search…
