Aside from making awesome high-end smartphones, Samsung also has an extensive portfolio of feature phones, targeting folks who don’t want (or can’t afford) a modern smartphone. One such device is the newly leaked GT-E1260B, which is a candybar-shaped device with a full QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for heavy texters.
Unveiled by SamMobile, the GT-E1260B is apparently first going to Brazil, sporting a 2-inch 160×128 pixels screen, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack and an 800mAh battery. It’s a dirt cheap product with no camera and no 3G connectivity, hence carriers will most likely add it to their postpaid offerings while asking no more than $100 (perhaps even less) for the unlocked phone. That said, we’re pretty confident the Korean giant will manage to move a ton of these, finding customers among the youth who can’t live a day without texting and cyber-schmoozing across popular social networks…
