In its “May was our best month ever” press release, Fandango also shared one mobile-related stat, which we find particularly interesting. According to Fandango, 28% of tickets sold in May were bought using a mobile phone! That’s impressive and we like the fact that more and more people are turning to their smartphones to buy stuff online (rather than fire-up their PCs/Macs).

Overall, the company reported a 47% surge in year-over-year ticket sales, and 29% year-over-year increase in monthly visitors.

Way to go Fandango, somehow we knew those Facebook and mobile apps of yours count for something. 😉

Now we’re eager to know – do you buy your movie tickets using your smartphone? Or you prefer conducting all e-transactions from on a computer?
