Peel, the company that wants to revolutionize the way we watch TV, announced the new AllPlay TV feature, promising to bring the “first multi-source personalized TV experience.” As a result, TV enthusiasts will have the ability to find and watch shows and movies regardless of source — from Peel’s current TV listings to DVR and web content including Netflix — from a single app.
Peel’s algorithm is based on your viewing habits and selections from multiple sources, pushing the shows you enjoy to the front. Using the Top Picks selections, AllPlay TV makes it possible to catch up on back seasons of a show while recording future episodes. Or, see that a favorite movie is on live TV but opt to skip the commercials and watch it on Netflix.
In other words, by simply touching a program thumbnail, you’ll get a brief description of the episode or movie that is playing, while also being able to access additional viewing options via live TV, Netflix or DVR. Pretty cool…
Peel with AllPlay TV will be available in July for Android, with iOS version is coming “in the coming months.”
