Later this week, on July 5th, Bell Mobility will unveil new HSPA roaming bundles for Canadians who use their vacation time to travel abroad. Effective July 5th, the carrier will offer few bundles, spread across three zones. The first zone includes Europe, Australia and China; the second one – places like Barbados, Chili and Egypt; and the third zone – Afghanistan, Congo, Cuba and many other locations. Here’s the rundown of Bell’s upcoming offering:
Voice:
- Zone 1: $40 includes 40 minutes (including roaming airtime, long distance), overage is $1/min
- Zone 2: $60 includes 40 minutes (including roaming airtime, long distance), overage is $1.50/min
- Zone 3: $80 includes 40 minutes (including roaming airtime, long distance), overage is $2/min
Data:
- Zone 1: $40 includes 10MB of data, overage $4/MB
- Zone 2: $60 includes 10MB of data, overage $6/MB
- Zone 3: $100 includes 10MB of data, overage $10/MB
Text messaging (Zone 1 & 2 only and is $0.75/text for pay-per-use):
- $15 gives you 30 texts messages, overage is $0.50 per text
- $30 gives you 100 texts messages, overage is $0.30 per text
- $50 gives you 250 texts messages, overage is $0.20 per text
New pay-per-use HSPA international roaming rates:
- Zone 1: $2/minute for Voice, $8/MB for data, texts are $0.75
- Zone 2: $3/minute for Voice, $12/MB for data, texts are $0.75
- Zone 3: $3.50/minute for Voice, $16/MB for data, texts are $0.75
- Cruise ship/airplanes is $7/minute for voice, $16/MB for data, texts are $0.75.
