Thrifty Car Rental is the latest to join the hundreds of thousands of mobile applications in Apple’s App Store. Today the rental car company launched its new app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The app is sparingly simplistic, offering a three-step process that allows users to make reservations at any Thrifty location worldwide.

Furthermore, renters will be able to save and modify existing reservations and customer profiles, while being able to view details about all available rental cars and reserve additional features like car seats or a GPS. The company also offers a feature called “Around Town City Guides.” In a nutshell, this feature lets customers see where they could find hotspots and deals available in certain places. The idea is for customers to use this to plan their trips by viewing suggestions on hotels, restaurants and activities nearby.

Anyway, you can find the new Thrifty Rental Car app in your iTunes App Store at the website (www.itunes.com/appstore) or on your iPhone or iPod touch.
