Huawei has officially announced the Ascend P1 for the UK, promising to deliver quite a bang for the buck. The device that was initially unveiled at this year’s CES in January will finally be available on the Old Continent from early August. According to the press release we got, users will be able to pick it from “various UK retailers” starting with Vodafone, where it will be free on monthly price plans of 26 GBP and above.
Meanwhile in Canada, Wind has (just as we expected) already started accepting orders. The carrier is selling the thin smartphone for $49 on WINDtab $40 plan, or for $199 on WINDtab $25 plan.
Specs wise, the Huawei Ascend P1 sports a 4.3-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) screen, 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA and 4GB of built-in storage that is further expandable with microSD cards.
