It’s time for the Olympics and SwiftKey prepared updates for two its most-used language packs, UK English and US English. As a non-sponsor of the big event, they’re not allowed to use the “O” word — their blog post only hints their intention was to update language packs with words that will be used during the next few weeks. And no one can stop them doing so.
As an end user, you’ll get even better word prediction and completion for phrases related to a number of sport disciplines.
The update is rolling out as we speak and if SwiftKey still hasn’t informed you about updated language packs, you can manually proceed from “Settings” -> “Languages & layouts” and update from there.
Those of you living under a rock should know that SwiftKey is by far the best virtual keyboard app for Android. Whether you have a smartphone or tablet, you should try it out. You’ll thank me later. 😉
