Samsung’s superphone is no longer reserved for major carriers only, with Ting planning to join the party within three to six weeks. Relying on Sprint’s LTE network, the MVNO will offer the 16GB Galaxy S III for $529, and the 32GB model for $579. Of course, that’s the price of the device alone, requiring that you also buy some text, minutes and data.

Ting has been getting some attention recently for its unique mix-and-match approach to contract-free plans. Their website allows you to select how much minutes, texts and data you need and create a plan that truly fits your needs. In addition, you also get some freebies along the way like Voicemail, Picture & Video messaging, 3-way Calling, Caller ID, Tethering and Mobile Hotspot.

Finally, it’s worth adding that aside from the Samsung Galaxy S III, Ting also announced two other phones – LG Optimus Elite (in white) and Samsung Transform Ultra.
