Non-US version of Huawei Ascend P1 LTE hits the FCC

An LTE-enabled version of the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE has been caught at the FCC. Don’t hold your breath since this particular model (201HW) won’t hit any U.S. carrier. In fact it’s going back to the East where it will end-up in portfolio of Japan’s SoftBank.

We shouldn’t lose hope, however, thought at the moment I’m not sure that many people want the Ascend P1; users would rather get the Ascend D quad, which quad-core processor promises to bring a new era for the Chinese company and eventually propel it to the higher end of the market. Guess we’ll have to wait for that model a little longer and in the meantime if you care to read FCC’s docs, you can do that from here. It’s boring stuff, just so you know. 😉
