You may don’t know it but September is National Infant Mortality Awareness Month (NIMAM). The U.S. infant mortality rate of 6 in 1,000 live births is one of the highest among developed nations, and text4baby is doing something about it. The organization is holding an enrollment contest and anyone that signs up for the text4baby service during September will be entered to win a one of three one-year supplies of Johnson’s Baby products.

Moms can enroll online or by texting BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411, and all enrollees who are still active as of 11:59pm EST on September 30 will be entered to win.

If you missed one of our previous posts you should know that text4baby is a free mobile service that sends critical health information to expectant and new moms timed to their pregnancy or baby’s development. These messages were developed by government and non-profit health experts like the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), covering nutrition, immunization and birth defect prevention, among other topics.
