Nikon added three new models to its Coolpix lineup of point-and-shoot camera, and one of them is powered by Android. The S800c combines Nikon’s imaging technologies with on-board WiFi, integrated GPS and the Android OS. Nikon says it’s the “perfect camera for connected individuals”.
Hardware-wise, the camera includes a 16-megapixel sensor, a 10X zoom lens (25-250mm), 1080P stereo video recording, 8 frames per second shooting and a 3.5-inch touchscreen. It runs Android 2.3 and has full access to the Google Play Store.
The S800c will hit retails shelves in September for $350. It will be available in black or white colors.
