We’ve already seen ViewSonic’s Android-powered monitor and now we have another device that works in a similar fashion. However, the Motorola CloudBB HMC3260 isn’t marketed as monitor, but as a desktop computer which is pretty different proposition — since most of us think Android is still not ready for prime time on computers. Add to that low-end specs and you get everything but impressive end result.

Moto’s baby comes with an 18-inch 1366×768 pixels touchscreen, 1GHz Freescale i.MX53 ARM Cortex A8 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, while Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread is running the show with some sort of custom desktop launcher singing on top.

Now, I must add my doubts here – that CPU can hardly make for smooth graphics on such a display. On the other hand, this product may be marketed as a computer for children or folks who don’t usually use computers.

At the moment, Motorola is targeting China with the CloudBB HMC3260 and we’re not sure whether it will ever be released in other parts of the world. Not that we necessarily want it…
