The latest indoctrinee to OtterBox’s Defender Series is the push-to-talk BlackBerry Curve 8350i, currently available on Sprint. The protection offered by OtterBox seems like overkill for most consumer phones, but the iDEN-capable Curve is geared specifically for rough environments – PTT is used regularly in construction and shipping where instant communication is a daily necessity. At CES we also saw some prototype cases for the BlackBerry Storm and 8700, which we’ll likely see sooner than later.
