Well, gamers it’s finally here. Sony has released its long-awaited PlayStation Mobile Android application. The new app works as a portal to some of Sony’s gaming library, but it’s only available to “certified devices.” As a result, the company’s list of certified devices is limited primarily to Sony’s own Android phones and tablets, with the only exception being HTC’s One series (details on this to be announced later).

The games that are available through this PlayStation Mobile app is even more limited. So far, there are only 30 titles users can get their gameplay-on. The list of games include titles such as Twist Pilot, Rebel, Samurai Beatdown, Flick Hockey, Wipe!, Magic Arrows, Tractor Trails, etc. To help bring more games, Sony will release a Mobile SDK sometime next month, allowing developers to bring their own titles to the store and to PlayStation Mobile and Vita ecosystem.

The new system is simple. All games purchased will be linked to users’ PlayStation Network ID, and once a game is bought, it can be played on any certified device. Hit the PlayStation blog link for more details.
