Amazon.com is bringing its Appstore for Android to the Land of the rising Sun having announced that developers can now submit mobile applications for distribution later this year in Japan. In order to do so, interested companies should visit the Amazon Mobile App Distribution Portal and check Japan as one of the markets they want to target.
Since the online retailer launched its app store last year, millions of customers have been discovering and buying Android apps for their phones and tablets, while Amazon’s merchandising, personalization and recommendation technologies enable developers to attract even more customers. That said, we’ve no doubts Amazon’s store be pretty popular in Japan.
At the moment, Amazon Appstore for Android works in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany and Spain.
