It’s been a rough last couple of years for HTC. The Taiwanese based manufacturer has watched its market share slowly decline, while Samsung has risen to the top spot as the number one Android phone maker. HTC saw its profits decline 79 percent year-over-year as it reported “its lowest quarterly profit since 2006 as it continued to lose market share to its competitors,” according to The Wall Street Journal. The company also seen its revenues in the third quarter of 2012 drop by 48 percent year-over-year. With so much money being lost, it’s no wonder why the Taiwanese phone maker is now trying its luck with Windows Phone 8.
