Next week will be marked by the Padfone 2 launch and from what we know, the device will be pretty awesome. And we’re glad we can show it to you prior to its official announcement, compliments of EVleaks and Bloomberg TV India.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the tablet shell is thinner featuring no cover flap at all — rather users will simply dock the phone straight into the slate and they’re good to go. Looks like a better solution to me.

When it comes hardware, we know that the device will sport a 4.7-inch HD (most likely 720p) screen and 13-megapixel camera. Moreover, I would assume there’s some quad-core processor under the hood to make things run as smoothly as possible.

And here are press shots of the Padfone 2 followed by a Bloomberg video showcasing latest ASUS products – the “Padfone story” starts at the 1:40 mark.
