HTC latest Droid handset has finally arrived on Verizon, bringing with it a massive 1080p HD display and powerful innards to take on the rest of the high-end smartphones in the arena. That device would be the Droid DNA, and its available starting today at Verizon Wireless stores and online.

The Droid DNA is one of the most powerful devices around and has a lot going for it. The first thing you’re going to notice about the Droid DNA is its beautiful 5 inch Super LCD3 1080p HD display, packing enough pixels in a mobile device to make your head spin. You can also look forward to a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Beats Audio support, LTE, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Sounds pretty nice, right? Well, it is, but we’d be lying if we said we were happy with the 2,020 mAh battery that’s running the show. With a big screen pushing out that many pixels, you’re going to want it in front of your face constantly, which is bound to kill some battery life relatively quickly. And the world already knows about what LTE can do to a battery.

With those aforementioned concerns aside, the Droid DNA is one hell of a phone that’s sure to interest many parties. Given that it’s running at the standard $200 price point, HTC’s sure to get some attention with this handset.

So if you’re looking for a new phone, you might want to consider the Droid DNA if you’re looking for a large screen and powerful guts.

For more information on the phablet device, check out Verizon’s website.
