rim-logoResearch in Motion have sold their 50 millionth BlackBerry device. That’s a heck of a lot of Berry’s, and a heck of a lot of people walking around, emailing with their heads down.

RIM is also coming up on its 10th anniversary… Which means in 10 years they’ve sold the 50 million devices to roughly 21 million customers worldwide. Agian… wow, that’s a whackload of devices.

The Watlerloo-based team have come a long way from making those two-way pagers. Anyone out there remember the DataTac 850?

At any rate, Congrats RIM… and an early ‘Happy Anniversary’ to you!
